Progressive Smart Haul Program
New Progressive truck customers who elect to enroll save an average of $1,261 with Smart Haul®**
Smart Haul gives eligible for-hire truckers using an electronic logging device (ELD) the opportunity to save on their Progressive commercial truck policy in exchange for permission to access their driving data. New truck customers who choose to enroll save an average of $1,261.**
How it works
If eligible, you can choose to participate in Smart Haul when getting your quote. If you do, you'll get instant savings just for granting access to your driving data. Then we'll work with your ELD vendor to see if you're eligible for additional savings.
Commercial truck customers with a preferred vendor ELD from Geotab, Motive or Omnitracs qualify for our biggest savings on their insurance premiums and a personalized rate at renewal.
At new business, customers who elect to enroll in Smart Haul with a preferred vendor ELD receive at least a 5% discount. But with an established safety record, some can save 15% or more.**
As long as you stay a Progressive customer and choose to participate in the program, we'll automatically adjust your premium at each renewal to reflect your most recent driving data. Your rate may go up or down based on these results.
Eligibility requirements
Smart Haul is available in most states. To qualify you must have:
- An ELD
- A USDOT number
- Primary liability coverage on your Progressive for-hire truck policy
You could save on your premium even if you're just starting out and don't have any driving data. You'll become eligible for any additional savings the next time you renew your policy.
